Had the frozen mango, it was delicious! My wife had then frozen lemonade, she loved it. My daughter had the Oreo ice cream, of course she loved it. Service and ice cream was great. Although we had to wait, it was worth it.

Contrary to others, I was pretty disappointed. We always go to Ocean Isle beach every summer and they have the best Italian ice I've had (Sunset Slush). First time at Hilton Head and was excited about Rita's. It's a busy place and people seem to enjoy it, but this isn't Italian ice, it's more comparable to a snow cone texture.It's not bad, but it's misleading.

Rita's was suggested to me by a friend from PA and now I have the whole family hooked. If you have never had water ice and custard give it a try. Go with a gelati if you want the best of both worlds

Great ice lemonade stopped twice on Tuesday and then tried again halfway through a bike ride but the were not opened.

Yum. Great selection of flavors, very fresh. The only problem is the long lines at certain times of the day. Not too pricey. I wish I had one of these where I live!

My love for Rita's began right here in Hilton Head many years ago, prior to coming here I had never heard of them and now they are popping up all over the place but I will forever have a crush on this location for spoiling me with tons of flavored italian ice. A must stop for me on my annual trip.......try not to leave the island without stopping here for a treat.

We had the Georgia Peach gelato today, it was such a refreshing break from the beach. I would highly recommend the short walk up north Forest Beach road.

Their italian is AMAZING! I would definately go just to get that again and again! Their custard is rich and they do mix the two which makes the test even more interesting. Definately something you must try!!

WOW I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. This is the first place I ever had Rita's Italian Ice. My wife's family vacations down in HHI once a year and when I started going they introduced me to Rita's. I think her family has kept the place in business for at least the week they are there! I'm only kidding, but we seriously go there at least once a day for the 7 days we are on vacation. We have to get it while we can as there are none up in Indiana where we are from. Our love runs so deep that we have been to Rita's in Ohio, New Jersey, SC, and Florida. Have I scared you off yet? No? Good. Rita's has Italian ice, gelati, custard, and different kinds of shakes. We rarely differ from just the regular italian ice, but it is all good. The gelati combines frozen custard and Italian Ice, very good. They always have close to 10 flavors of Italian Ice and many of them will change daily (I know this because we go every day for a week straight). I try to get a new flavor every day. They will even let you get half of one flavor and half of another so it is fun trying to find combinations that go well together. I have to give a special nod to the Swedish Fish flavored ice. Generally, we have found that the candy and fruit flavors are the best. I should note that they just introduced a Rita's App where you can get a free Italian Ice on your 8th visit. It is all relatively cheap as well. Four regular Italian Ice cups is only about $12. The location is in Coligny Plaza facing towards the beach. It can be really easy to miss as it just a small stand next to the Quiet Storm Surf Shop. There are only a couple of tables right behind the stand, but if you walk towards the middle of Coligny you can find many more spots to sit. There are a ton of things to do in Coligny so even feel free to just walk around and check out all the shops. Many of the bars and restaurants will have outdoor live music that you can enjoy. Definitely check it out if you can. It is what we look forward to the most on the trips to HHI, you know, besides the beach, sun, and stuff.....

Frozen Custard is all over menu! It's not served! It's soft serve ice cream at the same price! A rip-off!!!!! Server never mentioned that small little tidbit of information. After tasting it and noticing that it was not custard, noticed a small sign stating that they were no longer selling custard! STAY AWAY! A big rip-off....

One of the reasons I look forward to coming to Hilton Head Island year after year. Our family has progressed past eating our Italian Ice around Cologny, we buy Quarts and Gallons of our favorite flavors and eat them later in the evening. This is the first Rita's I had ever been too and really it is the best. Favorite flavors are Mango, Black Cherry, and Lemon. We stick to the Italian Ice only but Rita's also sells soft serve. The line can back-up but be patient. There is nothing else as refreshing as a Rita's Italian Ice after a long beach day. They give samples. During the summer months Cologny Plaza has nightly entertainment. Lots for families to see and do. Put this on your list!!!

Whenever we come to Hilton Head we have to go here. Except for the unfriendly server, we enjoyed the creamy vanilla custard layered with the mango pineapple ice. Full of flavor.
